Five things worth sharing from the last week or so, brought to you by a different member of the Browser Media team every Friday.
This week’s My Five is by Ashleigh.
1. Have you ever seen a husky with no body hair?
If your answer is no then you’ll want to see this…

This snap was posted on Twitter by ‘Omona Kami’ but has had tweeters up in arms, as they think it has been done as a joke and could be very dangerous for the poor dog.
People commented saying that it could be “deadly to a husky” while others stuck up for the owner, saying it could have been done for the dog to go into surgery.
Omona Kami has commented on the picture saying that he doesn’t know the owner and that he found the image online:
So I’ll guess we’ll never know…
2. How the vote leave’s campaign directors won the 2016 referendum
Nearly one year on after the ‘Leavers’ won the referendum, Dominic Cummings, British political advisor and strategist, explains how they spent nearly their entire ad budget in the last 10 days of the campaign, and the majority of that in the last three or four days. Cummings said, “We aimed it at roughly 7 million people, who saw something like one and a half billion digital ads over a relatively short period of time.”
They used mass polling and focus groups to come up with the perfect message for each demographic, and then plugged the data back into social. Cummings said, “They ran messages experimentally on Facebook to figure out what things work and don’t work”.
From the data they knew the public was divided so they specifically went after people that could be swayed.
3. The GIF turns 30
The end of this month, 30th June, sees the humble GIF celebrate its 30th birthday so here are 30 great ones to celebrate.
There are some crackers in there!
Also, in light of this big birthday, Facebook has updated how we can comment on posts, and everyone is now free to send and use a library of GIFs within their comments.
4. An obese wild monkey has been rescued and put on a strict diet
Locals have named him “Uncle Fat” and he has developed a rather large tum after gorging on junk food given to him by tourists. The vets say that the fat has become a type of benign tumour so they’ve put him on a strict diet of lean meats and veg.

5. The “real” heroes from the British election
I know the election was last week but it was a pretty big deal, so here are the real heroes from the election:
