I wrote about a local dog walker’s excellent flyer earlier this year.
I loved the fact that a simple piece of marketing material could elicit such a positive sentiment in a world full of AI cookie cutter drivel. It shows a genuine understanding of the target audience and hits the spot emotionally.
I have subsequently been a bit guilty of AI bashing in recent posts where I have bemoaned the apparent race to the bottom that the ‘shortcut’ approach to AI usage tends to produce.
It is therefore ironic that I wanted to share a great campaign (in my humble opinion) that is most *definitely* the output of AI:
Perhaps I am just a dog nut who loves anything aimed at dog owners, but I think this ad is brilliant.
Not because the AI wizardry that shows dogs chatting away casually as though it was an episode of your favourite podcast but because of the creativity of the concept and, crucially, the script. It is entertaining but also manages to include endless features of the Tractive product without really feeling like a product ad.
We often talk about the need to focus on benefits rather than features but this ad manages to do a fantastic job of showing why the Tractive trackers are worthy of consideration without boring the audience.
I suspect that it will be a bit lost on anyone who doesn’t have a dog, but am sure that most dog owners will be laughing out loud at the friendly dog banter and recognising the challenge that squirrels pose if you have a furry friend with a high prey drive…
Well done to Tractive for a great ad. Not only did you make me smile, you have allowed me to show that I am not all out negative on AI 🙂
