Our regular readers will know that this is the time of the year for the latest instalment in the Digital Ski chronicles.
Lucky me (Joe) recently returned from a fantastic trip in Courchevel, where the snow was epic, the weather was mixed and there was a lot of nakedness.
Econsultancy’s annual Digital Ski trip is an informal networking event for the crème de la crème of the UK’s digital marketing industry. It is a simple, but magic, formula that consistently delivers excellence.
This year, the Jägerbomb’s reign as the tipple of choice (who actually chooses them?!) was challenged by toffee vodka, which Charlie took great pleasure in pouring down your throat at every opportune moment.
I can only blame the vodka for the surreal experience of sitting down to a delicious evening meal surrounded by (mainly) naked northerners. It was either that or the ever present sound of Nelly’s ‘Hot in Here’, which acted as the catalyst for several disrobing incidents. Or maybe northerners are just odd…
Joking aside (and I do like northerners), it was another epic trip and a great time was had by all. Whilst we didn’t have the unbroken sunshine that usually graces us on the Digital Ski trips, the snow was superb and the company even better.
A change of venue this year also allowed the introduction of a sledge race, which was more akin to a demolition derby than anything else but excellent fun and gives our annual video montage an extra dimension.
So, without further ado, here is a quick summary of Digital Ski 2012 for your pleasure. Crank it up and enjoy:
I will look forward to next year’s trip. Will hopefully see you there.
